If you go into the Factions tab, just click the current name ("Nameless") and you can type whatever you want there. Likewise, in the SQD tab, just click the name of the squad and type something to change it. Edit: as NerdyBeerCastle pointed out, also click on "Your Outpost" to name it. Add a Comment.

It was working fine until recently, now I can't start a game anymore because it crashes right at the character generator. I have not installed any mods that add things to the character generator, so I really have no idea what could be causing this.
