My pc sits at roughly 55-70 degrees when browsing internet.. The fans are permanently ramped up to crazy levels. Now, I turned of the powercore boost in bios and my temps are all back down to 30-50 whilst idle and even gaming.Joined. 27 Nov 2012. Posts. 228. Hi. I am getting very high temps with my 5800x & can't figure out why. It currently idles around 60-65c, and just browsing chrome etc, it is around 70c... Gaming at only 50% ish CPU usage is around 80c+. I always used to idle at 30-40c and gaming loads around 65c when using the 1700, 2700x, 3700x etc.

Ambient temp is 24C. 1. First is a shot in the bios before water temps in loop have a chance to equalize on a cold loop. 2. Idle on desktop with the same settings. 3.Quick prime test. 4. That seems high to me. My 5800X is idling around 30-32C right now with a couple of browser windows open, WhatsApp desktop, Mail and Ryzen Master open. Ambient room temperature is 22C.
