I think the idea during break-in is to avoid hard braking. You also want to avoid hard acceleration. Just drive it like you normally would but vary the rpms. Example don't drive it at 35 miles an hour all the time or 65. You want varying conditions to promote even wearing seating of piston rings all that stuff.Issues with paint finish and rust on engine and exhaust. All my break in miles has been under 7K rpm and EZ break in miles to the gym, Costco and around San Jose. Going to the Obon festival in San Jose and riding the Frankenstein grom everything seemed normal and this is a 4+ miles from my house.
Jan 1, 2014 · I've got the same problem, started at around 1500 miles, split second break up when accelerating in second gear after a turn at around 4500-5000rpm. Only happened like 3 times over the next 1000 miles so no big deal but a week ago I went on a longer ride and it did it like 6-7 times in 2 and 3 gear and one time for like 2-3 seconds in 4th!

That said, the owners manual refers to taking it easy for the first 600 miles. No hard breaking, no launching, and don't keep a constant speed for multiple miles. However, many people have ignored that, as you have. It's a moot point if you are at 1000 miles so just enjoy your car. OP. OP.

What does Honda recommend for the MSX125?not too bad on the old grom though. i have my rebound adjuster mounted at the bottom and it's reasonable easy to get to, that being said my piggyback makes mounting the other way impossible. give the shock at least 10 hours use before commenting on it, as with anything like this there is a break in period before it performs how intended.
